Passo means to pass, to stop by, to drop in. It’s the nickname of local chef and restaurateur, Michele Passarello and the original name of the street his family have been living on for generations. It’s also a footprint. Just like feet in the sand, Passo will leave an indelible mark.
Michele comes from the ancient city Agrigento in Sicily. He grew up with a love of food and since moving to Aotearoa has devoted his life to sharing his cuisine and culture with the Kapiti community.
Passo is his newest venture on the Coast. Join him for authentic pizza, pasta, secondi, contorni and more, just like his Nonna used to make, but now combined with modern flavours and techniques.
More than a restaurant, Passo is a place to get together. We offer genuine hospitality, great food and drinks and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Right in the centre of Paraparaumu, Passo is just a step away from you!
